General information on Civil Marriage Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships

A Civil Marriage Ceremony or a Civil Partnership must be non-religious in content, so cannot include, for example, hymns, religious readings or music or prayers. The marriage or partnership must take place at a venue licensed by the local authority, in this case The Tithe Barn, to be legally valid in England.
